UltraViolet Fusion Stereo Equaliser SSL ULTRAVIOLET EqualiserUltraviolet Stereo Equalizer is a new SSL 500 module that takes the EQ section of the Fusion and transports it in this format. The ULTRAVIOLET EQ goes further than the Fusion, adding two dedicated mid-bands with a Focus control, for greater flexibility. It is the ideal partner for the legendary 500 series SSL Bus Compressor module. The ULTRAVIOLET EQ, as in the best SSL traditions, is based on a careful selection of frequencies and response curves to create an intuitive musical EQ, designed to quickly build the right sound for their mix.Focus modeFocus mode allows the user to focus on specific frequency problems to attenuate or accentuate. By pressing the “Focus” switch, the chosen Q factor is automatically narrowed down and the available gain range is further increased beyond normal operation to +/-9 dB. Within the flexible workflow proposed by SSL, this function transforms this sweet and musical EQ into a decidedly surgical instrument.
