3 394-Channel MADI, 2 In Mic/Line RME Madiface XT II USB CardRME's MadiFace XT II is a 394-channel, 192 kHz USB 3.0 audio interface, with full connectivity and control options for studio and live work. Compared to the MADIface XT, the MADIface XT II offers updated digital and analog circuits and improved performance both in the analog and digital fields. The MadiFace XT was the world's first USB 3.0 audio interface and was distinguished by its high number of channels, full connectivity and compact design. With two mic/line preamplifiers (XLR/TRS combo inputs), two balanced XLR line outputs, a stereo headphone output, various digital signal options (coaxial and optical MADI, MIDI/AES, word clock) and an additional PCI Express connection, the MadiFace XT offered complete connectivity. New analog recordingsThe MadiFace XT II maintains this winning formula and improves the signal values of the previous model. The new model offers a higher signal-to-noise ratio and a lower THD in AD conversion. The maximum balanced XLR output level has been increased from +15 dBu to +24 dBu. The stereo headphone output offers a level of +19 dBu and, with an impedance of 1 Ohm, greater power. All outputs also have different switchable levels. New digital circuitsThe new digital card replaces the analog mini-DIN socket for remote control with an ARC USB port, which allows full control of the MADIface XT II with the optional USB ARC. The MadiFace XT II also includes Room EQ equalization, with nine parametric bands for surround configurations of up to 20 mono channels.Clock at femtosecond With the latest SteadyClock FS, the MadiFace XT II offers the latest synchronization and jitter reduction technology from RME. Based on a femtosecond clock, SteadyClock FS reduces intrinsic jitter to a minimum and filters clock jitter starting at 1 Hz. New hardwareThe new MadiFace XT II focuses on USB 3.0, since PCIExpress is no longer usable externally. The Class Compliant mode has been improved, allowing the simultaneous transmission of all 394 channels without drivers. Various formats and settings are available to optimize the use of Class Compliant mode.
