3 can PCI Express card. MADI, 390 I/O Channels, 24 Bit/192kHz - Integrated Effects The new RME PCI Express HDSPe MADI FX interface represents a real revolution in the field of audio interfaces. Until today, there was no such system for performance and number of channels (390!) Three MADI I/Os - two optical and one coaxial - an AES/EBU I/O and an analog output for monitoring. The equipment is completed by 4 MIDI I/O and the Word Clock connection. Like all RME cards, the technology and connections are integrated into an extremely compact solution. Only one free PCIe slot is needed on the motherboard, and another free slot on the computer case. To guarantee the low-latency performance characteristic of RME interfaces, the HDSPe MADI FX uses the newest modular Hammerfall Pro Audio Core system with very high technology. The new core is able to process a number of channels up to 3 times higher than the previous MADI generation of RME; at the same time it reduces the load on the processor and allows the use of latency buffers of up to 32 samples on the most recent computers. The new system automatically deactivates unused channels so as not to consume computing resources or bandwidth. A simple stereo reproduction produces a load on the system no greater than that of a stereo audio interface, despite the fact that it is a professional multi-channel system with almost 400 channels. The HDSPe MADI FX has a special version of the TotalMix FX that allows you to manage this number of channels in a practical and effective way. RME has optimized system performance so that MADI FX's 4096-channel mixer responds as smoothly as its 1800 channel counterpart in the Fireface UFX. The new and more powerful DSP allows you to add an even greater number of EQs and compressors. The new TotalMix layout allows you to manage the huge number of channels in an extremely simple way. You can hide unused channels and save and recall these display configurations. One click is enough to switch from one setup to another, for example from seeing only the drum mix to the band's full channels. The 192 kHz effects engine allows zero-latency monitoring with various effects such as EQ, compressor, reverb and delay directly from the card's hardware, totally independent of the DAW.The TotalMix matrix allows you to use the card as a powerful MADI router. Unlike most other routing solutions, it is possible to establish the assignment of each individual channel, with different levels for each routing. The unbeatable flexibility of TotalMix makes it possible to transform the most complex and unimaginable applications into reality.
