Radial JDI Stereo Passive Direct Box

  • passive DI equipped with Jensen transformer
  • Eliminates hum and noise due to ground loops Zero harmonic & phase distortion Compact stereo format to
  • double the performance Radial JDI
  • Stereo is a passive stereo direct box designed to

manage signals with extreme levels without distortion of any kind. Unlike an active DI, limited by the buffer voltage, it uses a pair of Jensen audio transformers that, at the same time, balance the signal and reduce the impedance for managing long cables. No power supply is required. Just plug it in and it works

.

The magic comes from Jensen's surprising internal transformers, renowned for their ability to correctly manage transients, offering a soft and warm Bessel curve, reminiscent of the best vintage devices. Linear from 10Hz to 40kHz and with practically zero phase deviation, the JDI Stereo keeps the instrument sound natural and pure, not artifact. In addition to converting the unbalanced Hi-Z signal, transformers isolate the input from the output, filtering the DC voltage that can cause noise and lead to so-called ground loops. All this allows the audio to pass through, eliminating problems.

Features include ¼” input and thru-put connectors as well as a -15dB input pad on each channel. In addition, there is a ground lift switch that raises pole 1 on the two XLR outputs to further reduce hums and rustles caused by ground loops. Ruggedly built to withstand extreme touring uses, the JDI Stereo uses a 14-gauge I-beam steel frame and a unique book-like outer shell. The innovative design eliminates stress on the circuits, reducing the possibility of solder detachment, while the outer shell creates a protection zone around switches and connectors. The steel enclosure works with the mu-metal transformer and the Faraday internal shielding to protect internal mechanisms sensitive to the most powerful magnetic fields, such as those generated by amplifiers, ensuring

quiet and hum-free signal management.

The original Radial JDI has become the most famous passive direct box on professional tours and recording studios around the world and there is no doubt that JDI Stereo will follow suit. The combination of these features have made the Radial JDI the most famous passive direct box on professional tours and an excellent choice for using the instrument in the studio! Radial JDI' the best passive direct box

in the world.
