Radial X-Amp is a Reamper with class A circuit that gives you the ability to manage 2 amplifiers at the same time. There are two Hi-Z outputs on ¼” jacks available: one direct and one isolated from the transformer with the option of reversing

Radial X-Amp uses a unique Class A circuit optimized for use with guitars and bass. Features include 2 independent 1/4” Hi-Z jack outputs and 1 balanced line-level input with LED peak indicator. The output level control will allow you to manage the signal to be sent to the 2 amplifiers, while the second output isolated from the transformer will help you eliminate hums caused by ground loops. There is also a reverse polarity switch on this one. With Radial X-Amp you can focus on the performance during the recording phase and then sculpt the sound later

Can I reamp my Hammond organ?

How do you reamp a snare drum or bass drum?

There are a couple of ways to do this. You could perform a simple Reamping process where you take the pre-recorded speaker and send it through the X-Amp to an amplifier or series of effects.

What should I do if I get a buzz from my system?

Try pressing the LIFT switch. This will eliminate the ground connection between the X-Amp and the guitar amp

I connected two amplifiers together, but is the sound distant and subtle?

Your amplifiers may be out of phase. Just press the 180º reverse polarity

Can I connect a guitar to the XLR input to use the X-Amp as a direct box?

No. The X-Amp's XLR input is line-level, designed to receive pre-recorded audio tracks as input. You should first connect your guitar to a preamp to boost the signal. The Radial JD7, on the other hand, has inputs to allow you to do

What is the difference between active reamping and using a passive approach?

A passive Reamper such as the JCR or the ProRMP uses transformers that tend to attenuate the transients of digital recordings. Active Reampers like the X-Amp use buffers that allow you to control levels more freely

Can I use a passive direct box like JDI or ProDi to record a track for Reamping?

Yes.

Is there a difference between the original blue X-Amp versions and the new yellow ones?

No. We simply changed the external color to differentiate it from the J48 direct box.
