Dunlop JHMS4 Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys
The JHMS4 '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys is the fuzz pedal from Dunlop's Authentic Hendrix series. With a custom finish inspired by Jimi Hendrix's famous concert poster at the 1968 Shrine Auditorium, this pedal recreates the mysterious growling fuzz sound that the guitar legend used
in several iconic performances.OVERVIEW OF THE DUNLOP JHMS4 AUTHENTIC HENDRIX '68 SHRINE SERIES BAND OF GYPSYS This special edition of the Band of Gypsys
Fuzz pays homage to the legendary Jimi Hendrix with a custom finish that echoes the famous poster of the 1968 Shrine Auditorium concert by the prolific and celebrated rock artist John Van Hamersveld. A buzzsaw starbust, peaceful sunflowers and psychedelic writing flooded with warm, vibrant colors highlight the magic of contrasting forces
.Inserted in a small body, the Jimi Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys Fuzz is based on a mysterious Fuzz Face Distortion that Jimi Hendrix used in various iconic shows between 1969 and 1979, in particular in the Band of Gypsys performance. Red with white knobs, this particular fuzz completely differently from the other Fuzz Faces in his arsenal, growling with an aggressive and scratchy sound. The pedal itself has gone down in history, but its unmistakable sound lives on in the recordings. Dunlop engineers identified that sound as that of an Octavio circuit that didn't have the famous octave-up effect of the pedal. After making some changes, they got the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini Distortion. Now you can get the same sound Jimi used to enchant the masses in some of his most famous performances
