Delay guitar pedal The Deep Blue Delay is a natural-sounding digital/analog delay, with the direct analog signal path. The Deep Blue Delay has roughly the same bandwidth as classic ribbon echo units and can be used before an amplifier or in effects loops. There are no noise reduction circuits, which keeps the echo decay as natural as possible. The direct signal path is short and made with analog amplifiers without filtering. There are no distortions or tonal colors as long as the input level is in the range lower than the maximum allowed. The echo signal has a filter tuned to allow extreme settings without interference. The delay is specially designed to work well even with distorted tones, since this is the most critical application, where delays often fail. The Deep Blue Delay contains the basic functions, Delay Time, Delay Level and Repeat, and is designed to work as an ambient delay; Like a vintage tape echo and repeat, it has been specially designed to allow easy adjustment and a less critical setting of the delay time. Why digital? Isn't analog better for a solid-state solution? We chose the digital construction to make it compact, stable, with reasonable delay times and virtually maintenance-free. A similar circuit in analog form would have been excessively more expensive to build. For the same performance, it would have taken three to four of the best BBD chips now available only as vintage parts and the pedal size about three times the current size.Controls:Level: Set the level of the delayed signal mixed with direct guitar sound.Delay: Control the delay time from 25 ms to 450 ms.Repeat: Check the repeats of the delay signal, rotated completely counterclockwise it gives a repeat and completely clockwise you get infinite feedback.
