Preamplifier for System 500 with Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer derived from the Harrison 3232 console The 32Cpre+ takes the high-performance microphone preamplifier (transformer-coupled) of the 32Classic studio console, combines it with the renowned Harrison LP/HP filters and offers it in 500 Series format. Inspired by the iconic Harrison 3232, the 32Classic mixer and preamp is a reinvented American icon, offering the sounds that helped create some of the most iconic albums of the 70s and 80s. Thanks to 32Cpre+, that Harrison sound is now available in 500 series format. Legacy in analog The Harrison consoles have helped create some of the most popular and influential musical tracks in history. Michael Jackson, ABBA, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Donald Fagen and many other iconic artists have relied on Harrison production tools to create their multi-platinum albums. Harrison's latest range of 500 series modules takes advantage of the sound and features trusted by engineers such as Bruce Swedien, Roger Nichols and Reinhold Mack to create music that stands the test of time. The Harrison sound The 32Cpre+ offers the warm, rich sound that Harrison is renowned for. Full bass, open mids and soft, natural highs are the characteristics expected from a prea equipped with a Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer. The slight roll-off at each end of the spectrum and the delicate phase shift created by the transformer with a 1:1 ratio give the pre-microphone a sound so sweet that you can use it on any source. Tracking toolsThe 32Cpre+ offers a homogeneous gain from +20 to +70 dB capable of driving a wide range of types of microphones, including ribbon ones. In addition to the switches for the 180° polarity inversion, the 48V power supply, the -20dB pad and for the HiZ input, the front panel has a combo XLR connector with ¼” jack that allows you to connect a microphone or instrument to the 32Cpre+ directly without having to access the rear panel of the 500 Series rack. The legendary Harrison filtersA Harrison pre-microphone would not be complete without our legendary filters. Like those found in the original 3232 and the latest 32Classic console, the filters have a musical slope of 12 dB/octave, with the high-pass filter characterized by a distinctive 3 dB resonance peak. The range of the high-pass filter is between 25 Hz and 3.1 kHz, while the low-pass filter works between 160 Hz and 20 kHz.
