In addition, it can be used with or without a buffer. The Treble Booster is a booster optimized for the right treble frequency with a carefully designed bandwidth and an optimized bass cut slope. The booster circuit is designed to superdrive the amplifier inputs from a nice shine to a heavy overdrive, thanks to the enormous 40 dB boost. The booster is calibrated to produce musical distortion on its own with higher boost settings. You can control the total level of the two boosters with the Master Volume control and also use the Master Volume to obtain distortion from the unit. The Ruby Red Booster is the best and most versatile electric guitar booster on the market! Controls:master: This is a volume control that is located directly after the booster circuit. This control sets the final output and can be used to control the output when the pedal is used for overdrive (Boost raised). TREBLE: Set the treble increase from zero to about 15 dB. The treble rate and bandwidth are carefully tuned with an optimized bass slope. BOOST: The booster gain can be set by the unit to about 40dB of BOOST.Buffer: There is a switch inside the pedal for a high-quality buffer. You can set the pedal for true bypass mode or 'buffer on' in bypass mode. It is recommended to use the buffer in the signal chain when using many pedals and/or long cables and for help with high frequencies. The pedals are shipped “buffer on”. The Mad Professor RRB Buffer is an amplifier with a voltage gain of exactly 1x. The buffer's output impedance is slightly lower than the DC resistance of a standard guitar pickup to equalize the effect of the next load impedance. The input impedance is set at 500K for an average load compared to standard guitar pickups. This keeps the guitar's sound and volume natural. Settings:Treble BOOST: Set Boost to minimum and Master to maximum and adjust the desired treble increase with the Treble knob. STRAIGHT BOOST: Set Treble to minimum and Master to maximum and adjust Boost to get the desired effect.Distortion: Set Boost to maximum and adjust output level with Master on unit, then adjust Boost for desired depth and overdrive.
