The new HT MK III tube amplifiers: inspiration for practice and live performance

The award-winning HT range is one of the Blackstar tube amplifier series. It focuses on providing guitarists with classic tube tones in a compact package, which has become a go-to in the homes and studios of professional and non-professional musicians. The Blackstar research and development team has used decades of experience to create the new HT MK III series.

The HT-1R MK III, HT-5R MK III and HT-20R MK III amplifiers maintain all the renowned features of the HT MkII series, with the addition of CABrig, the world's leading infrared DSP speaker simulator. CABrig allows guitarists to access hundreds of cabinet and microphone configurations with environment settings. These settings can be saved and stored in 3 presets that can be recalled directly from the amplifier for an incredible selection of tonal options when playing live or recording.

In addition to these new cutting-edge features, the new HT MK III series comes with a new high-impact look, with a quality boutique amplifier style. The new panel has a clean and crisp appearance, without edges, combined with the classic 'chicken head' knobs. High-quality switches have been introduced, LED colors have been updated, and a metal logo has been added. Without a doubt, the HT MK
III look as pleasant as their sound.

Here's what you can expect from the new HT MK III:

- The ISF (Infinite Shape) system patented by Blackstar. Unique to Blackstar products, this control allows you to switch from an amplifier with an 'American' sound to a classic 'British' amplifier.
- Power reduction: the HT-5R includes a switchable circuit in the HT-5R MK III and HT-20R MK III models that provides transparent and reliable attenuation, up to 10% of the amplifier's nominal power.
- CABrig: our IR-based DSP simulation software. Choose from hundreds of microphone and screen combinations thanks to the free software and store up to 3 CABrig presets directly in the amplifier.
- Professional USB recording output: now USB-C, it's the easiest way to get a tube tone in your recordings.
- The innovative Clean Channel offers the highest quality and flexibility of clean tones. The Clean channel is equipped with a voice selector: American Clean, British Clean.
- The rich and sensitive Overdrive channel is equipped with a voice selector: Classic Overdrive, Modern Overdrive, with high-gain voices.
- All models have four switchable voices with the optional FS-22 and FS-16 two-way pedals. The result is a large selection of accessible valve tones.
- Line input for jamming or listening to music.
- Line output for practicing or recording silently.
- HT' stands for High Tension, the internal high voltage circuit necessary to drive the valves at their maximum performance.
