Shure MVX2U is an extremely compact USB-C audio interface that stands between your microphone and computer. Equipped with an XLR input with 48v phantom power and a 60dB preamplifier, MVX2U allows the connection of a dynamic or condenser microphone. DSP functions such as equalization, compression and limiter are configurable in the free ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop app available for PC and Mac. There is also a headphone output for monitoring.
Shure MVX2U is a perfect solution for those looking for a USB to XLR adapter to connect their favorite microphone to the computer. To record the voice, make video calls and conferences, or for live streams: from gaming to live on social networks, Twitch, YouTube, etc. From the amateur to the professional, from the gamer to the speaker, many can benefit from the use of this compact USB sound card integrated in a small black metal cylinder, elegant and with a minimal design, which mounts an XLR connector on one end into which you can insert your microphone directly, or connect it to us using an XLR cable. On the other hand, the MVX2U presents us with the USB-C connector and the 1/8” mini-jack headphone output for real-time monitoring.
For all microphones, even the greediest of gain
You are a lucky owner of our Shure SM7B (click here for info/ purchase)? Do you have a dynamic microphone? A condenser one? Thanks to the 48v phantom power supply and the powerful preamplifier that guarantees up to 60dB of gain, the Shure MVX2U interface adapts to any microphone, even to professional dynamics such as the SM7B, which requires between 50 and 60dB more to operate at an adequate level.
The first time you use it, you'll find Auto Level mode and phantom power already active: manage them as you like in the ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop app.Much more than an XLR to USB adapter Compared to
traditional adapters on the market, Shure MVX2U stands out because it represents a real audio interface for connecting your microphone to the computer, complete with manageable, configurable and recallable functions and signal processors in the PC and Mac app. The USB connection standard is USB 2, the female connector on the product is USB C, as are the male connectors on the 1 meter cable supplied.
You can connect the Shure MVX2U to normal “A” format USB ports - the classic rectangular ones to be clear - as long as they use the USB 2 standard or later: you only need a simple USB C to USB A cable. ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop: optimizes sound, without latency!
The free app available for computers with Windows and MacOS operating systems (click here to download) unlocks the following functions for any XLR microphone if you use the MVX2U interface. With the Mix Monitor you control the mix between the input signal and the reproduced signal, for perfect and balanced headphone monitoring according to your needs. Once the distance to the microphone (near or far) has been selected, the Auto Level Mode automatically adjusts the gain level in real time thanks to the integrated DSP. In the 'Auto' mode, you will also find 3 equalization presets: Dark, Natural or Bright. In Manual Mode you have full control of your microphone output as you can configure all the DSP functions at will: gain, limiter, compressor, EQ and more. There is no need to save your default settings for quick access in the future. In addition, the ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop app keeps the interface firmware up to date, allowing access to future features and optimizations.
Shure MVX2U not & egrave; for voice only
An audio microphone interface that lends itself to any mobile recording application, but also for quick recording sessions in the rehearsal room or home studio. For example: connect your SM57 (click here for purchase info) and record your snare or take back the cabinet of your electric guitar or bass. Pick up any instrument without giving up your favorite microphone. Shure MVX2U supports all dynamic and condenser microphones.
