AB168 is a remote portable AudioRack for use with the Allen & Heath GLD and Qu series of mixers in live applications and installations.
Equipped with 16 microphone preamplifiers with Phantom power indicators and 8 XLR line outputs, thanks to the Allen & Heath proprietary DSnake protocol, the AudioRack AB168 is compatible with Qu and GLD mixers.
Integrating a Qu or GLD system with an AB168 rack allows you to place some or all of the I/Os up to 120m from the mixer. The unit connects to the Qu/GLD mixers via a single Cat5 cable or to the AR2412 AudioRack via the dSnake EtherCon port. There is a second EtherCon port for connection to another AB168 rack or to the ME personal mixing system. AB168 self-updates the firmware to synchronize
with the system.The sturdy design of the rack, equipped with rubber protectors, makes it suitable for touring and allows it to be placed on stage during live performances. Weighing only 4.8 kg and a sturdy carrying handle, AB168 is designed for maximum convenience and portability. An optional rack mount kit is available.
