Semi-Modular Analog Synth Euro Rack format The news of a new Moog synthesizer is already important in itself, but if we add to this that for the first time the well-known American brand decides to fully embrace the Euro Rack format project, suggesting a future development of modules for this standard, it is evident that the interest in this innovation is far greater. Moog's entry into the Euro Rack format is a grand entrance with a table top semi-modular synthesizer with on-board sequencer and a wide range of options for connection with the outside thanks to an interconnection patchbay with Euro Rack format mini jack. The Mother-32, this is the name of the new synthesizer from the Asheville house, integrates a 32-step CV/Gate step sequencer with 64 sequence locations, a Moog low pass and high pass filter, an oscillator with independent output for waveforms, a sub audio/audio modulation oscillator, two voltage-controlled mixers, MIDI In and MIDI to CV conversion, a patchbay with 32 connection points and CV jack with 16 possible assignment sources, all in an aluminum cabinet and wooden sides. This is the first (but certainly not the last) module available from Moog in the standard Euro Rack format and will be accompanied by a wide range of accessories such as kits to rack the module and patch cables.
