After the excellent reviews we received for the Gold 12", we realized that there was also a need for a speaker that would transmit the Alnico pastosity of the original Blue, with the speed and response of a 10" driver. The G10 Gold is the latest 10" speaker that mixes the unmistakable Alnico class with a rich low-end, a creamy mid-range and a vintage top-end sound. Elastic, warm, eloquent and highly expressive, it can be used individually or in pairs to add classy shine to any amplifier, or in a 4x10 configuration for greater depth of volume, warmth and sparkle, without the typical rumble of 4x12 cabinets. Based on the Blue platform, the Gold is a higher power speaker, with an Alnico magnet that recreates the unmistakable sound imprint of the original. Over time, the high frequencies of a Blue soften and become less floury as the cone becomes more flexible: a coveted feature that Gold reveals as soon as it comes out of the box. Also present in the Gold sound from the start is a greater warmth and complexity in the mid-frequency range which, together with the classic Alnico characteristics of a soft attack, round low frequencies and bright and ringing high frequencies, offer powerful rhythms and saturated sonorous and lead tones.
