Korg is always active in researching and producing new tools and methods to make making music accessible and fun. The Nu:Tekt NTS-1 digital KIT is unique and versatile, a simple “do it yourself” synthesizer that you can assemble without having to resort to a soldering iron! The first of a series of DIY tools on which the new category of Korg instruments identifiable by the Nu:Tekt brand will focus, NTS-1 includes a powerful multi-effect synthesis engine in an extremely compact format for maximum portability and usability in any situation. Its “do it yourself” nature makes it extremely adaptable and customizable. Let's explore the possibilities!

NTS-1 is fully compatible with the Logue-SDK*, to allow you to use the custom oscillators and effects available for the minilogue xd and prologue instruments, or to make your own!

* When using third-party oscillators and effects in the NTS-1, be sure to check the specifications with the developer, as these contents may sound differently than when used with the minilogue xd or the prologue due to polyphony.

The main oscillator reproduces saw-tooth, triangular, square and VPM waveforms, as well as providing you with the ability to load the programmed waveforms into the Korg logue SDK. These waveforms are moldable and adjustable by intervening on two potentiometers,

There are various selectable filters: low pass, high pass and band pass all available in 2- and 4-pole versions, plus an OPEN mode. On all of them there is resonance, for extreme control of the signal generated by the oscillator

The three effect processors derive from the KORG minilogue xd and include numerous reverbs, modulation effects and delays to make the sound reproduced by the synthesis chain even more attractive.

Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-1 also provides you with an extremely practical and engaging arpeggiator, as it is equipped with various patterns. You can configure the scale and have numerous note reproduction modes, including a Random mode for the rapid generation of musical ideas. The length of the pattern is configurable from 1 to 24 steps and, when synchronized with the outside, even the length of the steps can be adjusted between a sixteenth and a 64th

Thanks to the ribbon controller, a simple user interface and the display, NTS-1 presents itself as an extremely intuitive, as well as powerful tool. In addition to the directly accessible parameters, you can intervene on other advanced parameters using combinations of keys and potentiometers

Adjust it to your needs
The fun doesn't end once you've assembled the NTS-1. The screws on the side panels are long enough to allow you to install custom side panels

Equipped with AUDIO IN, SYNC IN, SYNC OUT and MIDI IN connections, NTS-1 can be used together with other hardware and software tools. You can control it from a MIDI controller and sequencer, use it to process an external audio source with its powerful digital effects and/or synchronize it with

NTS-1 is powered via USB through the micro-B socket that you can connect to any portable battery, computer or electricity using a standard USB charger.

Free software included

The NTS-1 entitles you to free licenses of software such as “Ozone Elements” by Izotope, “Reason Lite” and to various virtual instruments produced by Korg and other brands. In addition, you will have the right to take advantage of a “Skoove” subscription: an application dedicated to interactive music lessons
