11208-04 Our Vintage Broadcaster pickups offer that classic 1950s Telecaster tone with extra punch and sound. A faithful homage to the originals, our Vintage Broadcaster pickups are the perfect choice for the most demanding players who require something more from their TV. The slightly larger Alnico 5 magnet and a higher output, provides 'sharp highs', and 'roaring midron' to get strong riffs and 'pungent' leads from any Telecaster. The Tele Vintage STR-1 rhythm pickup is designed for a soft, open tone with warm lower mids and airy highs. With its hand-ground alnico 5 rod magnets, this neck pickup will provide great full-sounding chords. Warm enough for most rhythms, but also percussive enough for chicken picking. Since 1978, we have been building all of our vintage Fender single-coil pickups with the right color and thickness of the Forbon forks, along with the offset magnet of the period. Each pickup comes complete with waxed and tin-plated pushback hookup wires and bottom plate with traditional wrench. We hand file the flat plates, assemble and lace the reel just like it was done during Fender's golden age. Each pickup is potted in our wax formulation for squeak-free performance.
