“1" Guitar Drive Pedal IS A DISTORTION/REVERB PEDAL DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE SOUGHT AFTER “brown” GUITAR SOUND OF THE LATE '70S AND EARLY '80S, WHEN PLAYED THROUGH A CLEAN AMPLIFIER. Like that legendary tone, this pedal produces an intense drive while maintaining high definition. The pedal also includes a built-in reverb circuit to add atmosphere and depth to your sound. The gain of “1" ranges from medium distortion to very heavy distortion. The amount can be easily controlled using the guitar's volume control (the input impedance is set to facilitate this operation, which is somewhat canceled if you use a buffer or a buffered effect before “1"). The Brown knob controls the amount and harmonic overtones of the distortion. Achieving the exact tonal quality is the key to this legendary sound, and the “1"'s Brown and Presence controls help it interface appropriately with a wide variety of pickups and amplifiers. The “1"'s built-in reverb circuit features a level control to set the mood. The sound is modeled on the studio reverb found in classic recordings from the 80s. The decay time is preset to ensure that the reverb is always present. The decay time is preset so as not to disturb the pace of execution.
