There are various approaches to mixing. Using faders involves, for many, an important use of 'muscle memory'. It's no coincidence: setting up and managing five/ten different sounds or groups at the same time, while listening to and constantly adjusting the parameters of your work, is a discipline that engages the whole body. Software alone can't come close to this type of approach. This is why Console 1 Fader was created.
Quality feeling
The ten 100 mm motorized Alps faders offer a professional feeling while the sturdy metal chassis, thanks to its elegant Scandinavian design, guarantees longevity and robustness.
The Fader contains two software emulations, Tube and Discrete. It's much more than just a digital surgical instrument. Fader enriches the sound just like old analog consoles, starting from filtering to saturation.
The design recalls that of Console 1 and, in the same way, “Fader” accompanies the user to new levels of control over the world of mixing. The unit allows the user to control up to ten channels simultaneously, working on volume, hi-cut and low-cut filters, drive and drive character (saturation based on bank modeling) and much more. It is obviously possible to navigate on multiple channels with the “page up” command, which allows you to select another ten, thus allowing you to manage even hundreds of different channels within a single session.
The single potentiometer on the Console 1 Fader allows you to control the pan of each individual track but also unlocks powerful tools to work on the stereo image, to make the individual tracks more 'open' or 'consolidate', finding the perfect space for each individual sound within the mix.
The Console 1 Fader unit can be used alone or even together with the original Channel Strip Console 1 to obtain a complete experience as similar as possible to that of a real bench. It is also possible to use multiple Fader units to build the ideal workflow within a specific study.
