Guild Bluesbird guitars are Guild's umpteenth return to a historic solid body model. Originally introduced in 1970 as a solid body counterpart to the M-75 Aristocrat, the Bluesbird has undergone several aesthetic changes over the decades. It features a hollowed-out flamed maple top and maintains many of the characteristic features of the M-75 Bluesbird of the late 60's. Its lightweight mahogany body with tonal chambers offers unparalleled resonance and comfort making this guitar one of the lightest in its range. Bluesbird has a 24 3/4” (629 mm) scale, a mahogany neck with a vintage C profile, the fingerboard is in Pau Ferro with mother-of-pearl inlay block, ivory ABS binding, the bone nut (nut) is 43 mm. In addition to the characteristics faithful to the original vintage guitars, the Bluesbird is equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups made in USA SH1 and SH4, as well as a TonePros tune-o-matic bridge with string attachment for better stability. It uses Grover Sta-Tite mechanics with a 18:1 ratio to complete the equipment. The glossy Iced Tea Burst polyurethane finish.
