'Starfire Bass II is a bass with two semi-hollow pickups that adds important sound possibilities to one of the most iconic Guild models: the Starfire bass. The original Starfire Bass II debuted in 1967, soon after the single pickup version, and quickly found appreciation from musicians such as Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane) and Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead). The addition of the Bisonic BS-1 pickup to the neck gives the instrument a warm and soft sound, for great versatility. This double cutaway bass has a top and bottom in arched flamed maple laminate (Arched), the neck is in three-piece maple with central walnut reinforcement with a “Soft U” profile, the nut is 38 mm and the instrument scale is 781 mm, the fingerboard is in rosewood with mother-of-pearl dot. Included are the Guild BS-1 dual pickups, with individual knobs for volume, tone, and master volume and a selection switch, the adjustable Guild bridge with rosewood or Ebony saddles while the mechanics are Grover 142 Vintage. A clear Natural glossy polyurethane high gloss finish adds to the beauty of this bass. Starfire Bass II offers the classic Guild vintage vibe sound to modern bassists. Includes the TKL hard case. '
