The Mark V Mini White is Vox's small-scale electric guitar in white, inspired by the iconic Phantom shape created by the English brand in the '60s. It has a poplar cover, maple neck and 19-fret keyboard in PurpleHeart, a wood of South American origin that is particularly resistant to atmospheric agents. It has two single-coil pickups that, thanks to the three-way switch, give the typical sound of the 60s and offer different combinations to obtain various sounds. With a 476 mm scale length, it has a 42 mm nut and, by mounting a recommended string scale of 11-54, it is able to recreate the sound of a traditional scale on a much easier neck

Characterized by a short scale that sounds like a normal guitar

This new MARK V mini guitar has a 476 mm short scale neck but, with heavier caliber strings, it can be tuned with a standard tuning (E-A-D-G-B-E), unlike most other mini guitars on the market. The nut is the same size as a normal guitar, but the 476 mm length corresponds to three-quarters of the scale of a standard guitar. However, thanks to the smart design and standard tuning, the MARK V mini guitar can be played just like a standard guitar, without the need to adapt the chord fingering. In fact, thanks to the shorter neck scale, the fingers can stretch further and play chords that are impossible on a standard neck guitar

Custom mechanics for smooth tuning

Vox has developed custom tuning pegs with a gear ratio adjusted to 18:1, to adapt to the short scale of this instrument. This makes tuning the MARK V mini guitar as easy as that of a standard scale guitar
