An uncompromising series based on a selection of woods from around the world. WOW, acronym for Wood Of the World Series, but also the exclamation of those who see these guitars for the first time, represents the top of the range in the EKO catalog. Every single guitar is unique and every wooden part is selected from a wide range of precious materials such as Rosewood, Cocobolo, Ovangkol, Koa, Ebony and others. The entire WOW series is All Solid, so, with solid wood top, sides and bottom, the nature of the wood is enhanced in favor of a particularly specific tone

The master luthier, Roberto Fontanot, carefully selects the woods of each instrument to create masterpieces that will be the joy of every single musician. The variety of woods used as the bands and back of each individual guitar will give the six strings completely different characteristics in terms of sound

The choice of the Top fell on Solid Cedar which, in combination with the Rosewood present on the sides and back, makes the guitar, in Auditorium shape, particularly performing in modern Fingerstyle, responsive to every slightest percussive impulse and returns a decidedly “WARM” sound despite the small size of the case; it reflects the violin making characteristics present in the Massimo Varini Signature model released a few years ago following the inclusion of Rosewood among the woods covered by attention from CITES

The Wow A800e CR LTD comes in Natural color with a Gloss finish, with an Auditorium shape. The combination of Solid Cedar on the top and Rosewood on the sides and back, the result of careful research, gives this instrument a very wide tonal spectrum that is always well balanced on every single string. A decidedly important feature is the presence of a high-performance amplification system, the Fishman Flex Blend: consisting of a piezo and an internal condenser microphone, this system allows you to capture every nuance of the guitar thanks to the possibility of gradually adding the signal taken from the microphone to the piezo signal, through a “blend” potentiometer. Among the controls, in addition to the Output Volume and the Blend, there is a display tuner (which can be activated by pressing the volume potentiometer) and an EQ control that works in “mid-scooped” mode: kept to a minimum, the signal is not equalized (flat), increasing the medium frequencies are gradually reduced in favor of low and high, very convenient for obtaining a sound already “ready” for the mix. In the event that the guitar should have feedback problems, a very common situation in the acoustic field, it is possible to reverse the phase by pressing the EQ potentiometer. The combination of all these features make the Wow A800e CR LTD a suitable tool in professional settings, both in the recording studio
