OVERVIEW OF THE INFINITY EQ BY EKO GUITARS

The Eko Infinito represents the R&D “laboratory” (research and development) that contains interesting innovations from a violin point of view.

It has a Genuine Italian Alpine Spruce Top, wood also used for the internal chaining of both the top and the bottom, keyboard and bridge in National Walnut, wood also used for making the rosette. The handle is made of Okoumè, a wood from the Mahogany family that stands out

For the bands and back, it was decided to use again the Okoumè treated with ETS (Eko Tone System), also treated with aniline and special lamps to embellish and deepen the typical veins of this exotic wood, as well as improving its response on the bass.

The entire instrument is painted with a paint produced a few kilometers from the Eko Guitars plant after careful research by the manufacturing company's technicians in collaboration with the luthier Roberto Fontanot: the result is an extremely resistant finish but with a minimum thickness, with an effect very close to the open pore.

The innovations that eliminate metal from the Infinito guitar are important: to guarantee the absolute stability of the neck and keyboard, 3 carbon fiber anti-torsion bars calibrated in different thicknesses are inserted; the nut and the saddle are also made of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber has also been used for the mechanics, which with a very precise 21:1 ratio allow careful tuning and the fantastic feeling of not having added weight to the headstock.
