'The 12-string guild became popular shortly after their introduction in 1964, appreciated for their sound and great playability, characterized by the classic jangly sound associated with the 12 Guild strings. Guild offers musicians the iconic timbre produced by “All Mahogany” guitars. The guitar is built with solid African mahogany top, back and sides. The D-1212 is a 12-string dreadnought, the neck is in C-profile mahogany, the fingerboard and bridge are in rosewood, the nut (48 mm) and the cross are in bone, the rosette in mother-of-pearl, the Vintage style pickguard in turtle cellulose. The iconic Guild Chesterfield headstock, reminiscent of the '60s, completes the package.
