The HCS 10/12/14 Smack Stack includes three discs shaped to achieve a distinctive sound. By changing the tension of the butterfly, it is possible to change its sound. Higher tension allows for a drier sound with a short decay, ideal for fast accents, while lower tension increases the tail. Ideal in combination with a snare drum in backbeats, or as an alternative to a snare drum itself.
