Alpha EVO: versatility and performance

Designed for music production and listening, Focal Alpha EVO amplified monitors provide excellent sound consistency for your station. To optimize performance, Focal has chosen a 1” inverted dome aluminum tweeter, to ensure an excellent and wide diffusion of high frequencies within the listening station and a particular Slatefiber cone. The two 6.5" (16.5 cm) mid-bass woofers integrated into this Alpha TWIN EVO model are produced exclusively by Focal in the Saint-Etienne factory and stand out because they are made of recycled carbon fiber mixed with thermoplastic polymer. The compound gives the cones a particular and pleasant color tending to blue. The combination of these two materials translates into respectable acoustic performance in terms of transduction speed, stiffness and damping, which provide excellent dynamic performance and a more natural balance on the spectrum. The cabinet of the Focal Alpha TWIN EVO amplified studio speakers is made of 15mm thick MDF reinforced by an internal structure that makes them extremely robust, minimizing acoustic susceptibility even to high sound pressure levels. The dimensions of this model are 260x550x290mm and the weight of each case is 12.2 KG. The bass reflexes each use a large front opening placed under their respective woofers, for a laminar air flow aimed at containing turbulence and distortion on the reproduced signal. This translates into an excellent integration into any listening setup, be it at home, on a van or in a treated environment. The attention that Focal usually pays to design has led to the addition of attractive sides consisting of plastic panels that go perfectly with both the concept of acoustic rendering and with the aesthetic objective.
