MOOG MUSIC Minimoog Model D 2022 Edition

Model D re-edition monophonic synthesizer Moog Music has officially resumed production of the Minimoog Model D, the first portable synth in the world still considered the quintessential synthesizer. After 35 years in Asheville, they decided to put their flagship model back into production using the same artisanal manufacturing procedures and the same components. No changes have been made to the signal path and to the sound generation engine, but some important new features have been introduced that do not alter the sound potential of the first edition but greatly enrich it. The main changes introduced with the new edition of the Minimoog Model D include a Fatar keyboard with velocity and after pressure, a dedicated LFO with square and triangular waveform, CV outputs for pitch, gate, velocity and after pressure, basic MIDI integration and a modification to the mixer that allows you to have even higher sound pressure and overdrive. Every single unit of the Minimoog Model D is hand-built in the Moog Factory in Asheville by Moog employees who own the company themselves. Due to the complexity of the construction process, it is possible to produce only a limited quantity of units per month and the waiting times to get hold of this highly requested synth could be quite long.
