Mid-field oscillating monitor base (50.80 x 33.02 cm). Inclination down by 5°

.

The Recoil Stabilizer is an oscillating platform for nearfield monitors that eliminates the destructive resonant coupling of the case with the rod or surface on which it rests, offering a solid base that strongly reduces the displacement caused by the movement energy of the case. Composed of 3 elements, the Recoil Stabilizer has a high-density urethane sponge base that insulates the case from the surface on which it rests (shelf, monitor-bridge or rod) to effectively eliminate the harmful resonance caused by vibration that would otherwise be transmitted to the

underlying structure.

Although isolation solves one problem, unfortunately it causes another one. Think about what happens when you fire a shotgun. The energy of the bullet explodes forward while the rifle bounces back. This isn't much different from what happens to a crate. When a transient is emitted from the case, it has the same effect. The energy of the speaker moving forward forces the speaker to move backwards and bounce, reducing the effectiveness of the transient reproduction. To eliminate the rebound, you need to stabilize the crate by adding mass. This is the magic of the Recoil Stabilizer; by introducing a steel plate with a heavy mass cut with the laser, the additional mass keeps the case in place, much like an autopilot that prevents a missile from changing

course.

To ensure that the case does not move, a neoprene anti-slip top surface is also applied. This, together with the insulating sponge, sandwiches the stabilizing plate so that it does not resonate. This effect is also reinforced by a curved front panel to increase mass, and
eliminate possible standing waves

.

The results are impressive!! By reducing the bounce energy when the speaker coil pushes forward, the initial transients of the sound wave are no longer delayed and the accuracy of the resulting pulse is greater. You get significantly more detail at all frequencies, with sharper bass and better depth of field
