The Meinl Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made of high-quality stainless steel. It has a main note in the center, plus eight notes in the circumference. These eight notes have two tabs each, with a different octave. This creates an extraordinary meditative sound similar to that of a handpan. At the bottom there is a sound hole, which can be closed with a silicone cap, to control the sound. Three silicone feet prevent the instrument from slipping. You can play the Steel Tongue Drum with beats or with your hands, just place it on a flat surface or on your legs. The Meinl Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum includes two wooden beaters with rubber heads and a carrying case, with handle and zipper closure.
