The iconic Technics turntable combines classic design with new DJ functions, ease of use, reliability and unparalleled robustness, adding a coreless direct drive motor. The direct drive system uses a slow-rotating motor to drive the platter directly. This system offers several advantages. It guarantees high performance, rotational accuracy and powerful torque, does not require the replacement of components and ensures high reliability for a long time.
The most advanced digital motor control technology, obtained thanks to the development of Blu-ray products, has been applied to improve individual torque and brake adjustment in four increments.
The pitch control function allows precision adjustment of the rotation speed within ± 8%/± 16%. This is possible thanks to digital control, from detecting the cursor position to controlling the rotation of the motor, eliminating the need for DA conversion.
The brake torque/speed adjustment, the rotation speed switch and the reverse reproduction can be adjusted via the switches on the main unit.
The arm, which has supported the most creative DJs for many years, inherits the highly reliable, statically balanced universal S-arm. Using high-precision bearings, it guarantees a higher starting sensitivity than the SL-1200MK6 model.
