The EVH Striped Series Frankie Relic is a 6-string electric guitar with maple fingerboard, faithful reproduction of Eddie Van Halen's well-known “Frankenstein” guitar.
The color is Eddie Van Halen's famous Sporting Red, with black and white stripe paint and a relic style finish. The EVH Striped Series Frankie Relic features a Strat-style linden body, combined with a Quartersawn maple handle reinforced with graphite. The oiled finish on the back of the neck allows for comfortable use, while the maple fingerboard with a radius ranging from 12"-16" with 22 Jumbo frets is
designed for fast and extreme playing.Just like Eddie Van Halen's original guitar, the EVH Frankie features a powerful EVH Wolfgang® humbucker on the bridge and a fictitious Dummy Strat single coil on the neck; even the selector in the center of the body is fictitious.
The bridge is a reliable Floyd Rose with EVH branding and locking nut, for precise tuning even with extreme pitch changes, while the EVH D-Tuna® system allows the transition to Drop-d and vice versa with extreme precision in a single gesture.
Other unique features include: single volume control knob (referred to as “tone”), custom black pickguard, chrome relic hardware, strap buttons, and EVH handle plate.
