'The basic model in the Polara line presents a special combination of timeless design and modern features. Built with an essential, no-frills design approach, the Polara has an ultra-light ergonomic body thanks to its profile and minimalist hardware package. Specifically, a thru-string body design transmits string resonance directly through the mahogany body, offering massive sustain and response. A diagonal string arrangement matches Guild's compensated stop bar design, first introduced in the early 1970s.

The Polara features a mahogany body with a glued handle design and a 24 ¾ scale length, familiar and welcoming to all types of players. An ebony fingerboard crowns the U-shaped neck for a clean, modern look.

The new discovered HB-2+ pickups are modern extensions of Guild's much desired HB-1 oversized humbucker pickups, built in traditional dimensions with Alnico V magnets. These over-wound HB-2+ pickups offer a variety of high-quality tones with lots of character and personality. The black poles further expand the style, while the simplified master volume and tone controls add to the Polara's basic, firm-oriented design.

The 'Night Edition' trim option offers a completely black look, including the 'Peak' logo on the black metal headstock and all the black hardware to complete a dark tungsten finish.
