After making acoustic drums for more than 40 years and acquiring detailed knowledge of the drum manufacturing process, Yamaha developed the DTX-PAD; a snare and tom pad with a transcendental touch. The skin is made of TCS (textured cellular silicone). It is a drum pad with superb performance, like an acoustic drum kit, with such a high-level touch that it is a pleasure to play it even for professional drummers.
