32-Channel AD/DA Converter, with ADAT, MADI and Dante M-1620 PRONew series of high-end AD/DA converters. 36 channels with compatible ADAT, MADI, Dante or AVB-Milan. The M-1620 Pro converts 16 line I/O from analog to digital and vice versa - the sources can be MADI Coax and SFP, ADAT or AVB (Dante in the case of the M-1620 Pro D). In addition, two headphone outputs provide 4 additional channels for monitoring. All this takes place in a 19” single-unit rack device with a newly designed front panel that combines individual level meters directly on the machine's display. An essential addition for immersive audio installations, but also a versatile extension for any audio network. A series of advanced functions complete the I/O equipment: two network ports provide redundancy or allow cascading within the same network (Dante model only). BNC and coaxial connectors for MADI or Word Clock are provided by default while optical MADI can be added with an optional SFP module, making it ideal for applications that require a large number of channels at high sample rates. The channels of both MADI ports can be routed individually to and from the AVB or Dante ports. Dante connectivity was a frequent request and has been integrated to work natively on the M-1620 Pro's hardware. This provides the ability to directly connect other audio devices through a standard network switch and allows users to directly record and play back up to 64 channels from their computer to any analog and digital I/O of the M-1620 using the Dante Virtual Sound Card (license not included). AVB models transmit and receive up to 128 channels at 48 kHz (96 @96k, 64 @192k) with a precise and fixed latency over the entire network. Each device reveals its status and configurable options to the network's ATDECC controllers, allowing it to be integrated into systems that use the open standard IEEE 1722.1. All device states are controlled directly from the front panel through the 2.54" TFT screen, for convenient and direct access to all functions. The integrated routing matrix allows you to quickly route all analog inputs directly to the headphone output, as well as all digital signals and network streams. In this way, solving signal, clock, connectivity or other problems is simple and immediate!
