The Argentine Series offers two sets (normal tension) of 8 strings for Mandolin:
- the high strings of the 1540 set consist of a single steel filament;
- the 1540X set, on the other hand, is characterized by the use of a special stainless steel, highly resistant to humidity and corrosion.
Low strings are common to both sets. The brilliant stamp they produce is also common.
Appreciated by the best Neapolitan musicians, Argentine strings are preferred right where the mandolin plays an important role in culture, by those who want to preserve and rediscover the original sound of the instrument.
Today, Argentine strings benefit from new wrapping techniques that ensure an increasingly homogeneous contact between the steel core and the silver (plated) cover. Thanks to the greater reliability of the materials used, perfectly adapted to the specific needs of the instrument, these strings are resistant to intense use.
