Remotely controllable 12-channel microphone preamp - MADI, ADAT and Dante RME 12Mic-D is equipped with twelve microphone and line inputs, with digital conversion without compromising absolute quality; remotely controllable gains; integrated MADI and Dante connectivity; as well as a multitude of additional features designed for use in professional recording studios, live and location recordings.Connectivity and features1 x Headphone Output4 x XLR/TRS Mic/Inst/Line8 x XLR Mic/Line1 x Redundant power supply1 x Word Clock I/O1 x MADI I/O coaxial3 x ADAT outputs 1 x MADI Optical SFP (optional module) 2 x Gigabit Ethernet (802.3 compliant) USB port for firmware and remote controlDesigned for the next decade - The RME preamplifiers for audio on IPRME 12Mic-D are equipped with twelve microphone and line inputs, with digital conversion without compromising absolute quality; remotely controllable gains; integrated MADI and Dante connectivity; in addition to a multitude of additional features, designed to make it the perfect companion for any setup to be used in recordings professional. The 12Mic-D is sonically identical to the existing 12Mic (with 128 AVB channels) and completes the line of professional network audio solutions of the M Series. Twelve transparent microphone preamplifiers for exceptional conversion performance. Microphone input stages without PAD have a maximum gain of 75 dB and accept signals up to +18 dBu. On the conversion side, the 12Mic shines with its exceptional signal-to-noise ratio on all channels. All twelve front XLR connections accept microphone and line level signals, while the first four connections also accept TRS connectors, with high switchable impedance (Hi-Z) for instruments. MADI and ADAT for maximum flexibilityIn addition to Dante, the 12Mic-D has two separate MADI ports, a coaxial integrated into the device and an optics available through an optional SFP module, as well as three ADAT outputs and a headphone (or line level) output for monitoring all input digital and analog signals. With the help of a routing matrix, each of the 204 input channels of the 12Mic-D can be individually routed to any of the 218 output channels. When connected to a Dante network, a combination of analog and digital channels (such as connected MADI devices) can be transmitted to the network. In exchange, the 12Mic-D can receive up to 64 audio channels from the Dante network, which in turn can be forwarded to the headphones, the ADAT and the two MADI connections, as needed. Dante audio networking - 2 fully redundant network portsIn a constantly evolving landscape of network audio solutions, the challenge for the RME development team was to design a high-performance device platform, able to guarantee unparalleled flexibility and stability for the years to come. To meet these high requirements, in accordance with RME's core principles, everything has been built from the ground up. Integrating Audinate's Dante IP core on a custom RME FPGA platform. RME not only offers a highly flexible solution, but it also takes a step closer to creating a truly universal audio network experience. Plug & play - quick interaction with the userThe control of all device states takes place directly from the front panel, with convenient and direct access to all functions. RME network audio devices can also be completely remotely controlled via a web interface on any network connection (even wirelessly via Wi-Fi), allowing the rapid creation of gain groups, the switching of phantom power and the routing of signals to the headphones for monitoring. The integrated routing matrix allows you to quickly assign any analog input directly to the headphone output, as well as all digital signals. In this way, solving transit, clock, connectivity or other issues is simple and immediate! AccessoriesMADI SFP OPTICAL MODULE (AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION) This module extends RME devices compatible with an SFP optical transceiver. You can send and receive up to 64 audio channels from other MADI devices. The RME SFP module is available in Multi-Mode and Single-Mode versions and can be inserted and removed while the RME MADI device is turned on. There is no need to turn off the device.
