11207-01-7str These Strat pickups with vintage ``corrected for the period” output offer all the authentic doorbell sound enjoyed by Stratocaster players in the 1950s. Our Offset Vintage Stratocaster pickups use 5 manual wound alnico stem magnets and a heavy Formvar magnetic wire with a special wind pattern to produce that bright, glassy bell tone, with all the bounce and brilliance you'd expect from the best Strat pickups of the 1950s. The treble attack is sharp and immediate, while the lower part remains articulated and focused. The chords resonate with a clear separation from note to note. The combination of three pickups includes a standard neck and bridge pickup and an RWRP, polarity reversal of the center pickup for noise cancellation in the intermediate positions. Since 1978 we have been building all our vintage-style Fender single-coil pickups with the right color and thickness of the Forbon flatwork, together with the magnet offset from the correct period. Each pickup comes complete with waxed and tin-plated pushback hookup wires and bottom plate with traditional wrench. We hand file the flat plates, assemble and lace the reel just like it was done during Fender's golden age. The Vintage Staggered for Strat pickups are hand built in Santa Barbara, California, and are potted in our wax formulation for squeak-free performance.
