11108-05-B The Humbucker set consisting of our 59 Model neck and bridge offers a warm, full, P.A.F. style tone to any dual humbucker instrument. While these vintage-style coils give the 59 models an airy quality that keeps them firmly planted in the P.A.F. family, the 5-bar alnico magnet and vacuum wax coating have been added to compensate for lighter guitar strings and louder amplifiers that weren't used in the 1950s. The result is a pickup with tons of old-school tonal character, but with a brighter upper range and a more compressed sound. The 59s are great for all types of rock and blues. In addition to the alnico 5 magnet and wax coating, we hand-build the model 59 with a variety of traditional vintage treatments, such as 42AWG smooth enameled magnetic wire, long-legged nickel-plated silver bottom plate, push-back conductor wire braided to a vintage conductor, and no logo. As with all of our P.A.F. style pickup, the Model 59 is wrapped on Seymour's old Leesona winder from the first Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.
