11024-08 Bright, punchy, and aged to perfection, Antiquity II Surfer vintage Stratocaster pickups capture all the classic coil tones of the '60s. Take your Stratocaster around through decades of foundational genre that define the tones of rock, surf, country, and blues with the vintage Stratocaster Antiquity II Surfer pickups. The Antiquity II Surf Neck provides that smooth, chimey bounce that only a Stratocaster can produce. Our specially calibrated Alnico 5 magnets and custom dispersion coil give a subtle softness to the treble attack without losing its harmonic brilliance. The center pickup in the set is RW/RP to get the perfect sound without hum in positions 2 and 4. The Antiquity II Surf pickup for Strat Custom Bridge is wrapped to have a mid-range and extra output for added versatility. We wrap these 50% warmer, then slightly attenuate the treble attack by demagnetizing the alnico 5 rod magnets. It cuts through the mix much more easily than a traditional Strat bridge pickup, while maintaining that classic Stratocaster tonal character. The solos jump more musically and the chords will sound with the perfect amount of mid-range brilliance. Hand-built in our custom shop, each pickup is aged to look and sound like a '60s original. We use the correct vintage blue/yellow fabric yarn, light gray flat bottom, and custom aged covers for the right look. The vintage Antiquity II Surfer Strat pickups are all lacquered and waxed.
