The Duncan Distortion bridge is our original high-performance humbucker. It incorporates a huge ceramic magnet and hot spiral wraps to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones with rich upper-midrange harmonic content. Great for intense, crisp rhythms and a burning tone of voice. The riffs are tight and percussive and the lead work is fast and immediate with an ultra clear pick dynamic. Originally known as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup is specifically designed for use with the corresponding high-performance bridge version. It's warm enough to deliver smooth, smooth solo tones with high gain, while still producing clean bell-like tones. Hand-built in our Santa Barbara, California factory, the Duncan Distortion uses a large ceramic bar magnet, a nickel silver bottom plate, a 4-conductor conductor wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum-sealed in a wax jar for squeak-free performance.
