This is obviously due to the Dolby Atmos module integrated at the top. This coaxial speaker, specially developed according to Dolby guidelines, consists of a 100 mm bass/midrange driver and a 20 mm tweeter. Radiating upwards, Atmos signals reach the listener through the reflection on the ceiling. This saves you from installing additional speakers there. Atmos modules have their own connection terminals and are wired to the corresponding outputs of an amplifier or receiver. If you don't have it yet, you can use the S 80 ATM in the classic way as a front speaker and then simply switch to Atmos later with the new electronics. The 'traditional' hi-fi part of the S 80 spoils you with two 170 woofers, a 110 mm midrange and the 28 mm dome tweeter. This is sufficient for a frequency spectrum of 26 to 38,000 Hz. Incidentally, the Atmos module also has an impressive 26-28,000 Hz. With a height of 86 cm, the S 80 is perfectly sized, both acoustically and visually.
