CRANBORNE AUDIO N8 C.A.S.T. Intro Bundle

N8 - 19” Rackmount for N8 N22H - with power supply - N22 - 2x 10m Cat 6 cables and N8 is an audio signal distribution device that uses Cranborne Audio's C.A.S.T. system to transform network cables (Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 7) into 4-channel analog whips and breakout-boxes, usable to sort the signal in the studio or on stage. N8 is equipped with 25-pin DSub input/output connectors and converts 8 analog inputs and 8 outputs into Cranborne Audio's proprietary C.A.S.T. system. This creates an ingenious plug-and-play signal routing with any other C.A.S.T-enabled product. With 4 C.A.S.T. ports, the N8 allows you to connect up to 4 Cranborne Audio breakout boxes at the same time to obtain 16 channels. Since each C.A.S.T. port is bidirectional, 2 inputs and 2 outputs are sent/received with each C.A.S.T. connector and cable. By connecting a Cranborne Audio N22H* to an N8, it is possible to place an artist with 2 microphones and headphones in a room, receiving the microphone signal and sending the mix for the headphone from a completely different room. All this, with a single network cable! Or you can use the N8 with 4 N22H to send a headphone mix to musicians located in the live room or next room. Because the C.A.S.T. operates at distances of up to 100m, it is possible to connect really anywhere. Thanks to dedicated switches for routing the C.A.S.T. outputs on the front panel, each N8's C.A.S.T. connection can send the same stereo signal from inputs 1-2 to all connected C.A.S.T. devices (or separate stereo signals to each of them) if artists need to listen to their mix. The C.A.S.T. is a high-quality plug-and-play system for transporting audio from point A to point B in an orderly manner without complicated wiring. In addition, it supports +48V Phantom power, to power active DI boxes and condenser microphones. Since network cables are now in common use even in home environments, wiring an entire studio with Cat5, Cat6, Cat7 and C.A.S.T. cables is much cheaper than traditional XLR. Thanks to a completely passive design (no power supply is required to use it) N8 is ideal for the stage, small enough to be hidden in the rack or rack-mountable with the appropriate kit (optional).
