The Piezo Booster is the device for adjusting the bridge of the Eko Guitars house, essential to correctly restore the bridge pressure on a piezo sensor. The result is the perfect volume balance between the strings and a dB gain on the output volume
.An absolute novelty in the world market for musical instrument accessories, a device never produced so far and that finally sees the light thanks to Eko Guitars. We are talking about the Piezo Booster, designed and patented by Maestro Roberto Fontanot.
What is it for? Here are the words of Maestro Fontanot that explain everything:
“In amplified guitars, the sensors use pressure and, without pressure, the sensors do not work while, with too much pressure, the sensors turn off. Due to the effect of the incidence of the strings with respect to the bridge, the bridge always tends to rotate and therefore position itself as a cut with respect to the piezo: this causes an imbalance in volume between the strings as the bridge itself does not rest evenly on the sensor. The Piezo Booster mechanically allows you to return the orthogonal bridge and then to release the pressure correctly on the sensor. The result will therefore be to have the volume of the strings always balanced and a gain of a few dB on the overall volume.”
To use the Piezo Booster correctly, just place it on the bridge (as seen in the picture) and hit it 2/3 times with a fair amount of power and the bridge will immediately be realigned perfectly.
