PIONEER DJ DJM-A9. Pioneer DJ announces the release of the DJM-A9 next-generation professional DJ mixer. The 4-channel unit raises the bar for standard club mixers, boasting huge updates over its predecessor, the DJM-900NXS2, with extraordinarily clear sound quality, improved playability and connectivity, and a host of new features to help you take your performances to the next level.
You'll sound better than ever when you perform with the DJM-A9. A high-quality 32-bit A/D converter with ESS technology is integrated into the channel input section, and D/A converters of the same type are present in the master and booth output sections to produce crystal clear and natural audio on the dance floor and in the booth for any genre of music you play. The sound coming from the microphone input and headphone outputs has also been improved through fine-tuning and an improved construction with new, carefully selected components. The DJM-A9 has also received major updates to the way it feels. Various elements have been optimized to make the DJ mixer more instinctive and comfortable to play on, including more spacing around the EQ knobs. The channel faders and the MAGVEL FADER crossfader are smoother than those of the DJM-900NXS2, allowing you to mix and scratch more smoothly. And the Sound Color FX includes the world's first Center Lock function, which you can activate to ensure you don't accidentally cross high/low parameters, no matter how fast you turn the knob.
The Beat FX are more instinctive to use on the DJM-A9 thanks to the new color display and the renewed X-Pad, now arranged horizontally for simple side-scrolling of the fingers. The Beat FX channel selector is now a dedicated button, allowing for faster effect routing, and the Multi I/O section has been updated to offer true sending capabilities. In total, there are 14 Beat FX to play with, including 3 new.
An enhanced microphone section offers new possibilities when streaming or MCing. You can connect a condenser microphone directly to the DJM-A9 to get the best possible vocal sound quality thanks to the phantom power at the microphone input, which is a first feature on a DJ mixer. To dynamically change the sound of your voice, there are 3 different microphone effects plus a dedicated reverb to play with.
Changing DJs or playing back-to-back is child's play on the DJM-A9 thanks to the dual set of USB Type-B and Type-C ports, allowing you to connect two PCs/Macs with rekordbox or Serato DJ Pro. And the mixer's extended connectivity opens up new possibilities for your performances. If you want to play tracks from a mobile device, the Bluetooth/MD input makes things easier with the DJM-A9. The audio can be routed to any channel, and you can use all of the mixer's effects to change the sound.
