Allen & Heath SQ-7

SQ-7 is the 33-fader flagship console in the SQ series, powered by Allen & Heath's revolutionary 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine. Built to excel in demanding situations such as AV, corporate events, live productions and places of worship, SQ-7 offers high-resolution audio quality with incredibly low latency of less than 0.7 ms. The console has 32 integrated microphone preamps, as well as 8 stereo FX engines with dedicated stereo return channels and access to the renowned RackExtra FX library.

SQ is a natural choice for in-ear monitor configurations, with 12 stereo mixes (configurable as groups or Aux), while the Automatic Mic Mixing function makes it an excellent choice for conferences, debates

Expandable to 48 microphones

Thanks to the SLink smart port, SQ-7 can be expanded to a total of 48 microphone inputs through the series of 96kHz and 48kHz rack expansions and Stage Boxes (for example AB168, AR2412, AR84 and DX168), which transform it into a flexible solution for owners of other Allen & Heath digital systems. You can also connect to another SQ, Qu, or DLive system for bidirectional audio patching

Dante, Waves and more

SQ is the core of a growing ecosystem of expanders, audio networks, Personal Mixers, apps and much more that allows you to connect, adapt and expand the system as you like. It is compatible with the main audio network standards — just add an audio network card such as Dante or Waves to the SQ I/O port to integrate it with already installed systems, providing a digital FoH/Monitor division and more

Flexible multitrack recording

built-in LSQ-Drive allows you to quickly and easily capture a 96 kHz or stereo multitrack recording of the show directly onto a USB stick or hard drive. You don't need any software configuration, no sound card driver, and no extra laptop to record the performance. SQ-Drive is also a smart way to manage walk-in music

There is also an integrated 32x32 96kHz audio interface for multitrack recording, backing tracks or virtual soundcheck applications. The interface is compatible with Core Audio and ASIO and is complete with MIDI and DAW control functionality

Advanced AMM function

The SQ-7's advanced Automatic Mic Mixers (AMM) make it an ideal choice for mixing conferences, debates and TV programs: they are integrated into the mixer without additional latency and there is no need to send audio to an internal DSP rack or external plugin system. There are two completely independent 24-channel AMMs, which can be used for two separate zones or combined into a single 48-channel AMM for larger events

We think you should decide for yourself how the mixer works, not the other way around. That's why we've equipped SQ with a number of options to design your workflows. Channels and mixes can be dragged and dropped individually onto any strip, with custom names and colors on the displays, for full control of the layout. SQ-7 has 16 SoftKeys and 8 Soft Rotary with LCD display, so you can always choose which functions to see. Each strip is equipped with our patented Chromatic Channel Metering system, which provides, at a glance, the level indication through variable brightness and color. RackExtra FX

Allen & Heath has an excellent reputation for creating FX emulations that rival the best plug-ins, but without the associated problems. SQ is equipped with 8 stereo FX engines and includes the famous RackExtra library with emulations of legendary classic reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulations and more. All FX have dedicated stereo returns, so there's no need to waste other input channels

ME Personal Mixing System

SQ is fully compatible with the ME Personal Mixing System, which allows artists to take control of their monitor mixes. You can cascade any number of ME-1 and ME-500 Personal Mixer from the mixer's SLink port or from a connected remote expander
