The 32 AnalogiQTM preamplifiers of the Qu-24 have a gain adjustable in steps of 1 dB and such precision as the DSP to obtain the same high transparency and musicality as analog mixers. High-quality, low-latency 24-bit AD converters ensure minimum background noise for a digital mixer

    .

A lot of computing power and advanced features are significant advantages of a sound engineer's work, but it doesn't matter if the controls are not instantly accessible. Once you start using the Qu-32, you feel the years of research in ergonomics and the mixing experience of A&H engineers that were necessary to build a natural and fluid layout. They did not try to recreate an analog interface, but a fluid, comfortable and intuitive operation for both beginners, digital natives and “old time” sound engineers, making all the advantages of digital technology accessible to everyone

    .

An 800 x 480 touchscreen with sixteen million colors and encoders with dedicated controls form the heart of the Qu-32 interface, which provides super-fast and easy access to all menus. The user-friendly interface has been designed with dedicated keys and the screens guide the display of the RTA, FX, channel processing, USB audio control, scenes, configuration menus and much more

    .

    SuperStrip

The processing of each channel (IN/OUT) is presented with a very simple SuperStrip layout with one (and only one!) function for each encoder. The approach is always twofold: analogically with dedicated encoders or digitally through the touchscreen but without complex menu structures. The processing of the Mono and Stereo inputs involves trim, polarity, HPF, gate, insert, 4 bands of parametric equalization

    , compressor and delay. Motorized

    faders Motorized

faders have become the norm with the advent of digital technology. However, some entry-level digital mixers do not have this precious asset despite being a fundamental part of a “Total Recall” concept. Motorized faders are essential for fast mixing, especially when dealing with multiple monitors: in the QU-32 you just need to press a button and the faders of the input channels work on the output for that mix. Qu-32 has 33 ALPS motorized faders, 32 arranged on two layers, allowing immediate access to all input channels and master mixes in a compact space, plus a dedicated master fader that follows the mix selection. In addition, a third layer is available that can be customized ad hoc by the user, with any combination of FX and master mix inputs, sends and returns

    .

    iLive FX

The dynamics of the Qu-32 and the effect algorithms derive from the same ones used in the iLive pro series. It should be noted that some of the most respected sound engineers in the world have chosen to use live effects rather than external FX units. Qu-32 incorporates 4 stereo effect engines, with handcrafted emulations of legendary reverbs, gate reverbs, delays, modulators, flangers, and more. The FX library has the ability to be implemented with future versions of the firmware. The effects have dedicated return channels, so no mono or stereo input channels are occupied. Each FX return has a dedicated 4-band parametric equalization

    .

    Total Recall

The Qu-24 saves and recalls scenes with the simple push of a button. Qu-32 can store up to 100 scenes for each Show. The channels and mixes can be put in Safe from the scenes: for example, if an instrument or microphone is exchanged after the soundcheck, the channel can be put in Safe to prevent the scene from recalling the saved settings. Or an iPod is added at the last minute before the show, that mix or channel can be put into Safe from each scene change. In addition, individual parameter updates can be blocked using Recall Filter or Global Recall Filter. So, if you optimize the graphic EQ for the frequency response of a location when the audience has entered, you can block this parameter to avoid overwriting in the event of a change of scene. The parameters of each EQ, compressor, channel or effect can be saved as a preset in the Library. This allows you to memorize the EQ of an SM58 or a tried and tested reverb and apply it to other channels or subsequent shows. Library, scenes and shows can be saved on a USB stick, so you can take the show with you, ready to use on another Qu-24 or Qu-16

    .

    USB Audio Streaming

Qu-32 can be a multitrack audio interface for a 32-channel Mac. The returns from the Mac can be assigned to mono and stereo channels. The interface is natively compatible with Mac OS X - meaning it's truly plug 'n play, with no need to install any drivers. It will be recognized immediately by any Core Audio DAW, including Logic, Cubase, Reaper, and Pro Tools. Standard MIDI control is possible through the USB connection so that you can map faders for DAW tracks. Alternatively, MIDI control is available via the Ethernet port.
