''Entry Level' condenser microphone for red/black vocals and instruments. sE X1A is a high-quality condenser microphone with multiple applications: vocals, drums and acoustic instruments are just a few examples of uses in which it excels. Thanks to a custom design and the accuracy with which the capsules are selected, X1A provides absolute sound quality and a very well balanced and natural frequency response. The electronics and the attenuation pad ensure a high dynamic range and an optimal transient response, even with high SPL sources, while maintaining a very low background noise. The high pass filter eliminates low frequency disturbances very well as compensating for any proximity effect. This makes X1A perfect for close-miking shooting with many instruments, such as electric guitar, wind and percussion amps. The shape and construction quality ensure excellent performance even in live use, difficult environments where structural strength and resistance to external stress are essential! X1A is equipped with a switch for attenuating the signal and one for the high pass filter. The attenuation switch is located on the front left side of the microphone body. Once activated, the input signal is attenuated by 20 dB so that even very strong or very close sources can be managed without distortion. It also avoids saturating the input stage with preamplifiers present on audio interfaces or mixers. The Low-Cut Switch is placed on the right front of the microphone; noises such as wind, plosive consonants, footsteps or knocks on the rod can irreparably damage a recording and the high pass filter reduces these unwanted noises and is also very useful for attenuating the proximity effect, typical when a cardioid microphone gets very close to the
source to be filmed.
