The SM86 is a rugged, ice-cold condenser microphone with cardioid polar characteristics and an extended response in the high frequency range. It was built to reproduce the lead vocals on a regular basis and to withstand the harsh conditions of touring. The SM86 condenser microphone has a studio sound, thanks to its extended frequency response - from 15Hz to 18kHz - and can withstand a high level of sound pressure (Max SPL: 147dB). The built-in three-point anti-shock mount minimizes noise due to manipulation, while the two-layer anti-pop filter reduces wind and breath noise. Included: support for rod installation (A25D), carrying bag (26A13) and 5/8" to 3/8" threaded adapter (31A1856)
