Reproducing piano sound is extremely difficult, especially during live performances when other instruments are present. Ambient sounds near the piano are often reflected in the piano's microphones. To avoid sound loss, the piano is often played in short stick or closed lid positions. The SCX25A large diaphragm studio condenser microphone produces highly transparent and extraordinarily accurate sound. This attribute combined with the SCX25A low profile and consistent phase reproduction, makes SCX25A the optimal piano microphone for live sound or broadcast environments.
To further improve ease of positioning, two DFLEX mounting clips accompany the SCX25A and can be easily attached directly to the piano guide, allowing the SCX25A to be securely placed anywhere on the sound card.
The SCX25A studio condenser microphone is undeniably the most compact and largest diaphragm microphone on the market. It features an innovative design and a patented capsule system. This package includes two high-quality four-conductor microphone cables with braid shielding that helps reduce the induction of noise from external sources.
