Shure KSM42-SG is a high-end condenser microphone, with cardioid pickup pattern specially designed for vocal pickup. It incorporates a new 1" dual diaphragm capsule with external polarization. The ultra-thin (2.5 micron) low-mass active 1-inch Mylar front diaphragm is 24 carat gold-plated, while the passive rear diaphragm provides exceptional control of the proximity effect in low frequencies. Its cardioid polar pattern is very homogeneous when shooting across the entire frequency spectrum. The KSM42-SG also features the new ultra-low noise Class A preamplifier with Prethos technology.
